Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. UC Network Engineer to support a growing client at Scott Air Force Base in the Belleville, IL area.

This onsite role sits 4 days per week at Scott Air Force Base and targets an experienced networking professional with deep expertise in enterprise unified communications and Cisco collaboration technologies. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering of Cisco CUCM, Jabber, voice gateways, and PSTN connectivity, along with routing, switching, firewall policy

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in networking, UC, and collaboration tech.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• CCIE Collaboration or CCNP Collaboration certification.
• Hands-on with Cisco Call Manager, Jabber, and UC infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical advisor to government stakeholders on UC and network modernization.
• Engineer, maintain, and optimize Cisco collaboration environments (CUCM, Jabber, voice gateways).
• Evaluate and implement network infrastructure solutions across routing, switching, firewall policy management, lifecycle refresh.
• Troubleshoot complex Layer 1–3 networking issues to ensure reliability and performance.
• Support network architecture, gateway protocols, spanning tree configurations, and strategic planning.

• Engineer, maintain, and optimize Cisco collaboration environments including Call Manager, Jabber, voice gateways, and PSTN connectivity.


• Evaluate and implement network infrastructure solutions across routing, switching, firewall policy management, and lifecycle refresh activities.


• Troubleshoot complex Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 networking issues while ensuring reliability and performance across enterprise environments.


• Support network architecture, gateway protocols, spanning tree configurations, and strategic planning efforts to enhance operational capabilities.

Requirements of the Sr. UC Network Engineer include:

• Active Secret Clearance.


• CCIE Collaboration certification or CCNP Collaboration certification.


• 8+ years of professional experience supporting networking, unified communications, and collaboration technologies.


• Hands-on expertise with Cisco Call Manager, Jabber, enterprise voice systems, PSTN, and UC infrastructure.


• Strong background in firewall policies, routing and switching, spanning tree, gateway protocols, and network lifecycle management.

Compensation for the Sr. UC Network Engineer include:

• $125,000 - $155,000 annually
