Job summary

Platform Aerospace seeks an experienced UAV Pilot/Instructor III to support operations and training for Vanilla UAS platforms. You will oversee ground and flight operations during stateside training and overseas missions, delivering technical expertise and operational excellence to ensure mission success.

The role requires managing flight operations, training new pilots, and maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards, with potential CONUS/OCONUS deployments up to four months.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform flight operation planning and execution per customer requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret and Top Secret clearances.
• Willingness to travel CONUS/OCONUS up to 100% as required.
• Compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards throughout all missions.

Responsibilities

• Perform flight operation planning in support of customer-driven requirements.
• Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks.
• Remotely pilot UAS aircraft following flight plans or adapting as needed for missions.
• Deliver training programs to new UAV pilots ensuring procedures and safety standards.
• Support flight operations outside the continental U.S. for up to four months as required.
• Conduct customer flight demonstrations at remote locations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to maximize mission readiness.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
