Firestorm seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer (UAV) to lead mechanical design, structural analysis, and rapid prototyping of high‑performance airframes and mechanisms in a fast‑paced environment. You will own components and subsystems, ensure manufacturability, and drive design validation through calculations, FEA, and physical testing.

You will collaborate across engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical and electromechanical systems and influence technical direction with hands‑on

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience, working with aircraft design.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on structural analysis experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, GD&T, and integration with electrical systems.

Mansioni

• Support mechanical design and structural analysis for UAV subsystems across lifecycle stages.
• Develop manufacturable designs optimized for UAV flight performance under varying conditions.
• Analyze designs against mass, strength, and stiffness targets; perform FEA and hand calculations.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing docs with SolidWorks and GD&T.
• Collaborate with electrical, flight-test, and manufacturing teams for integrated systems.
• Support rapid prototyping and test feedback to improve hardware iteratively.
