Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen; must obtain security clearance.
  • FAA Class II Medical Certificate or DoW equivalent.
  • 2,000 live flight hours (not simulator).
  • Minimum of 10 years designing, building and operating Group 1-3 UAS.
  • UAS autopilot knowledge preferred (ArduPilot, QGroundControl).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct developmental testing of unmanned aircraft.
  • Provide UAS flight support for Counter UAS testing.
  • Plan and analyze flight missions.
  • Deploy the tactical UAV ground and air system.
  • Operate and perform maintenance on communications equipment and power sources.
  • Launch and recover air vehicles from runways.
  • Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks and procedures.
  • Direct emplacement of ground control station and launch/recovery systems.
