Job summary

TPAPT is seeking experienced ACT tutors to provide remote, one-on-one instruction to students in grades 9–12. The Senior Tutor role offers part-time hours with 5–20 hours per week and competitive pay, starting at $40 per hour.

A Bachelor’s degree is required, and successful candidates have solid ACT knowledge and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include creating customized lesson plans, tracking student progress, and delivering effective test-taking strategies.

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is searching for experienced and dedicated tutors to provide comprehensive ACT test prep tutoring to students in grades 9-12.

About TPAPT:

TPAPT is a national nonprofit consortium of 15,000 local tutors and independent tutoring firms. One of our awesome chapters is seeking an experienced test prep specialists to provide remote 1:1 tutoring for the ACT admissions test.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction and test preparation for ACT students.
• Develop customized lesson plans and practice tests tailored to each student’s needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Utilize effective teaching methods to build students’ confidence and skills in test-taking strategies.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with all client interactions.

• Proven success with high scores on either/both SAT or/and ACT.
• 5-20 hours per week of availability
• A minimum of 3 years of experience tutoring or teaching the full ACT test in a paid capacity.
• Strong understanding of ACT format, content, and test-taking strategies.
• Earned Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized institution.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
