Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club seeks a Director of Agronomy to lead the agronomic program for an Arnold Palmer Signature course in a subtropical environment. The role requires building and mentoring a strong maintenance team, ensuring tournament-grade conditioning, and aligning with Board directives on long-term stewardship and capital planning.

Responsabilidades

• Own the agronomic program from soil to surface — delivering tournament-ready conditions year-round.
• Stay current on agronomic research, turf technologies, and South Florida disease/pest management.
• Ensure proper calibration, mixing, and application of chemicals and fertilizers per regulations.
• Maintain Florida Pesticide Applicator License compliance and Golf Course BMP certification.
• Lead and develop a full maintenance team including Assistant Superintendent and Greenskeeping staff.
• Chair the Greens Committee and translate agronomic strategy for board-level discussions.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Turf Management, or related field
