Your Opportunity

As a Senior Tunnel and Trenchless Geologist and Subject Matter Expert, you will support technical execution of studies, assessments, design, and construction projects. Your role involves balancing risk and design-related tasks across diverse projects, acting as facilitator, SME, project technical lead, discipline lead, reviewer, or advisor as needed.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in tunnel and trenchless engineering
• Lead risk assessments and facilitate discussions
• Provide guidance, oversight, and mentorship to team members
• Review and advise on studies, assessments, design, and construction projects
• Lead technical project efforts and oversee deliverables
• Participate in industry organizations and risk-related training
• Engage with clients in project requirement meetings
• Support value engineering and risk-informed design approaches
• Assist in developing technical scopes, project plans, and specifications
• Manage multiple projects with virtual teams
• Review contractor shop drawings and submittals, developing engineered solutions
• Assist in field activities including observations and monitoring
• Follow safety guidelines to ensure personal and team safety
• Travel as necessary for project support and development

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Experienced risk facilitator and SME
• Understanding of project document production and relationship between drawings and specifications
• Strong knowledge of tunnel and trenchless systems, materials, and standards
• Ability to review work, manage time, and handle geologic components of projects
• Collaborative team participation and creative thinking skills
• Mentoring and staff development abilities
• Effective communication of tunnel and trenchless concepts
• Advanced oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Potential to provide geologic input for 3D models and engineering drawings

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology and/or Geophysics required; master’s preferred
• Professional Geologist license required
• Minimum of 30 years of experience
