We’re seeking an expert Tsugami Swiss CNC Programmer / Machinist who can independently program directly at the machine control, perform complex setups, and operate Tsugami Swiss CNC machines to produce precision parts. This hands‑on shop floor role requires extensive Tsugami Swiss experience, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to take a job from engineering drawing through program prove‑out and production. The person in this role will actively run parts, monitor quality and tool wear, and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and consistent performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs directly at the Tsugami machine control.
  • Independently perform setups, including tooling, workholding, guide bushings, bar feeders, and offsets.
  • Run production on Tsugami Swiss CNC machines, monitor part quality and tool wear, and adjust offsets or replace tooling as needed to maintain tolerances.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to determine machining methods and operation sequences.
  • Select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies appropriate to the material and part requirements.
  • Prove out programs, inspect first-piece parts, and make adjustments to meet dimensional and surface‑finish requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues.
  • Improve cycle times, tool life, and process reliability while maintaining quality.
  • Support production and provide technical guidance to other machinists.
  • Document proven setups, tooling, and program changes for repeatability.
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive, recent, hands‑on experience programming and setting up Tsugami Swiss CNC machines.
  • Expert ability to write and edit programs directly at the machine control.
  • Ability to independently take a job from engineering drawing through setup, program prove‑out, and production.
  • Strong understanding of Swiss machining, tooling, guide‑bushing setup, and main/sub‑spindle operations.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and sound machining judgment.
  • Proficiency reading engineering drawings and GD&T and using precision inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of machining quality and process performance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience producing complex, tight‑tolerance parts in a low‑volume, high‑mix environment.
  • Experience machining a variety of materials for aerospace, defense, medical, or other precision industries.
  • CAD/CAM programming experience.
  • Experience training or mentoring machinists.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate independent Tsugami Swiss programming, setup, and troubleshooting directly at the machine.
