Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Developer SME to drive the full software development lifecycle for Marine Corps cyberspace operations. You will design, prototype, and deliver secure software used by cyber teams and U.S. Cyber Command.

The role requires a TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance and 10+ years of experience in software development, with hands-on work across Java, Python, C/C++, and Assembly. Onsite work at Ft. Meade, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.
• 10+ years of related software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C, C++, and Assembly.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive full software development lifecycle for cyberspace capabilities.
• Shape project vision, scope, and timelines for high-impact solutions.
• Gather and prioritize mission requirements with stakeholders.
• Identify risks, assess vulnerabilities, and engineer secure, resilient software.
• Design architectures and prototypes for cyber capabilities.
• Build, test, and refine software across multiple languages.
• Architect microservices, monolithic, and event-driven designs.
• Write clean, well-documented code for long-term maintainability.
• Manage configurations with Git and related tools.
• Lead QA with unit, integration, and system tests.
• Apply secure coding practices and conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Develop operational scripts to support cyberspace operations.
• Ensure interoperability with USCYBERCOM services.
