Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Senior Trusts & Estates Tax Professional to lead estate administration, funding post-death irrevocable trusts, and tax compliance. Open to multiple offices, with preference for St. Louis, MO or Phoenix, AZ.

You will work closely with attorneys to manage probate filings, trust accounting, and client service while meeting a 1600-hour annual goal. Experience with AI tools and tax software is valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in Trusts & Estates.
• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred; significant related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Estate Tax Returns and Fiduciary Income Tax Returns.
• Maintain financial records of trusts and perform trust accounting.
• Reconcile broker statements; prepare payables and deposits.
• Reconcile 1099 and K-1 statements.
• Irrevocable trust funding and administration (post-death).
• Probate administration including drafting probate pleadings.
• Maintain contact with clients and financial advisors.
• Meet annual billable hours target (1600 hours).
• Develop proficiency in databases, online research, and electronic filing.
• Organize and supervise files and related tasks.
