Jobot is seeking a senior Trusts & Estates attorney to lead sophisticated wealth planning for high-net-worth individuals and family offices in New Jersey. You will collaborate with senior partners on advanced strategies and build strong client relationships.

The role emphasizes complex tax planning, multi-generational wealth transfer, and mentorship of junior attorneys. A track record in private client work and bar admission in NJ/PA is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of focused experience in Trusts & Estates law.
• Strong background in sophisticated estate and tax planning work.
• Demonstrated ability to draft complex estate planning instruments and structures.
• Excellent understanding of federal and state transfer tax systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate sensitive client dynamics with discretion and professionalism.
• Admission to the New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania Bar required; additional admission in New York and/or Florida is a plus.
• An LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft advanced estate planning structures tailored to high-net-worth family and business needs, including trusts and related planning vehicles.
• Advise clients on complex tax matters involving income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes at both state and federal levels.
• Manage probate and trust administration matters from start to finish, including preparation and review of required tax filings.
• Coordinate directly with clients and collaborate with external advisors such as accountants, financial planners, and family office professionals.
• Serve as a trusted advisor in sensitive family and wealth planning discussions.
• Support the development of junior attorneys and paralegals within the practice group.
