Job summary

Edward Jones in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Senior Trust Specialist to support the Client Service- Estate Settlement team, handling onboarding and ongoing trust and investment management while upholding fiduciary and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with Trust Consultants, Trust Officers, Portfolio Managers, and branch teams to deliver excellent service to clients and advisors, while mitigating risk.

  • High school degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of trust, estate administration, or financial services experience required.
  • 2+ years client service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Basic analytical skills to research issues and apply solutions.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent client service to Financial Advisors, clients, and internal associates.
  • Own the completion of work related to the administration of accounts so the Trust Company fulfills fiduciary duties and protects its reputation, while mitigating risk.
  • Support Trust Officers, Portfolio Managers and other Trust Company and firm associates in the administration of accounts.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge required for administering accounts managed by the Trust Company.
  • Contribute to departmental objectives, projects and initiatives in order to better serve branch teams and clients.
  • Partner and collaborate with various areas of the Trust Company to execute client service model

Team Overview:

Edward Jones Trust Company provides a full range of trust, investment management, and custody services to individuals, businesses, charitable organizations, and private foundations.

The Senior Trust Specialist supports the Client Service- Estate Settlement team in the onboarding and ongoing relationship, trust and investment management of all Trust Company account types. The individual will work closely with Trust Consultants, Trust Officers, Portfolio Managers, Special Assets teams, vendors, clients and Edward Jones branch teams and will support the goals of the firm by providing excellent service to our clients and branches while maintaining fiduciary and regulatory standards. This position is critical to enhancing the client experience for trust clients.

What Experience You Need:
  • High school degree required
  • Minimum 1 year of trust, estate administration, or financial services experience required
  • 2+ years client service experience
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication and demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in organization and time management with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at once
  • Basic analytical skills to research issues and apply appropriate solutions
  • Successful working in a fast paced, cross-functional team-based environment
What Could Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Associate degree or related professional degree strongly preferred
  • Estate Settlement experience
  • Moderate to advanced Excel and other technical skills
  • Working knowledge of trust administration principles, estate planning principles, taxes, and investment principles

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
