Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation’s Wintrust Private Trust is seeking an experienced Trust Administrator to oversee personal trust accounts, estates, guardianships, IRAs, and related fiduciary duties. You will represent the bank with clients, attorneys, and beneficiaries, interpret governing documents, and ensure compliance.

The role emphasizes independence and teamwork, development of new business through referrals, collaboration with portfolio managers, and coordination with internal partners;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 8 years of trust administration experience.
• Extensive knowledge of estates, personal trusts, IRAs, and investment management accounts.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced and often stressful environment.
• Strong sales acumen.
• Ability to effectively communicate and relate to professionals, clients and partners with vastly different educational backgrounds, interests, and beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Administers trust accounts and related documents, including estates and IRAs.
• Represents the bank with clients, attorneys, beneficiaries and related parties.
• Develops new business and refers internal partners to opportunities.
• Coordinates with portfolio managers and internal teams to manage accounts.
• Manages relationships among wards and guardians and coordinated fiduciary duties.
• Reviews documents; ensures compliance with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
