Jobot, a well-established Chicago law firm, seeks a seasoned Trust & Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic team. You will support attorneys in sophisticated trust, estate and probate matters, draft documents, manage deadlines, and interact with clients and courts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Trusts & Estates/probate.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent required.
• Extensive knowledge of Trusts and Estates and Probate Law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to attorneys in all Trust and Estate administration aspects.
• Prepare and file probate documents (hearings notices, proofs of service, guardian petitions).
• Assist with federal estate tax returns and estate accountings.
• Manage communications with clients, courts and other professionals.
• Draft wills, trusts, estate plans and probate applications.
• Assist with asset valuations and asset distributions.
• Conduct legal research and compile data for attorneys.
• Maintain an organized, up-to-date case management system.
• Coordinate deadlines, appointments and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with state laws and regulations in documents.
