This position is a Hybrid position in the US only. Cadex Solutions is currently ONLY hiring in the states of AZ, FL, GA, LA, MA, NH, NY, NC, SC, OH, PA, TX and VT.

This position will be the Senior Trust Accountant for Cadex Solutions, working with one of Cadex’s seven divisions. The role reports directly to the Divisional Controller.

What We Need

Cadex is seeking a Senior Trust Accountant to manage the Trust Accounting process for one of Cadex’s seven divisions. Key objectives include:

  • Ensure timely and accurate remittance of “trust funds” to clients.
  • Invoicing clients for debt collection activities performed.
  • Reconciling bank accounts, collection system records, and general ledger accounts.

OBJECTIVE

Management of the trust accounting process for Cadex Solutions. Cadex is a collection agency. Funds collected they are held in “Trust” until returned to the client. This role manages the trust funds and invoices the client for collections services performed.

Primary Job Duties

  • Manage and control “Trust Funds”.
  • Perform all accounting duties relating to trust funds, revenue recognition relating to collection activities, fees paid to attorneys etc.
  • Prepare client invoices for collection services performed.
  • Interact with clients as needed and provide “white glove” treatment to the companies largest clients.

Secondary Job Duties

Work closely with Divisional Controller on tasks they need assistance with

Hire, train, cross-train, develop and appraise staff; take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy; consult with Human Resources as appropriate

Continuously update and maintain process documentation related to all key tasks

Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing sound internal controls

Maintain 100% confidentiality unless legal requirements apply

Provide assistance to other departments and teammates when they are in need

This position supervises several trust accountants.

WORK HOURS

This is a full-time professional leadership position with associated work expectations to mee the demands of the business.

TRAVEL

This role is based out of the Buffalo, NY office. Occasional travel may be required but on a very limited basis.

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor of science or similar degree.
  • 5 years experience working as a senior accountant or business analyst. Order to Cash or similar experience preferred.
  • People management experience.
  • Process optimization and re-engineering experience preferred.

Skills Required

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skill. Much of the work requires use of advanced Excel functions and techniques.
  • Experience working with order to cash systems.
  • Experience working with accounting systems (NetSuite and Great Plains preferred)
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Proficient communication and comprehension skills, including professional written and telephone communication
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This role is a hybrid role as it relates to working from home. It is generally expected that the candidate will work at least 3 days per week from the Buffalo, NY office.
