Job summary

The ICSS Senior Tribal Representative at Southern Indian Health Council, Inc. in Alpine, CA, provides specialized case management, child welfare advocacy, prevention, and coordination services to tribal families and children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Behavioral Science required or preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience with multi-cultural communities.
• Ability to work with tribal officials, county agencies, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of families and conduct face-to-face contacts.
• Serve as designated Tribal Representative in child welfare matters including court proceedings.
• Represent Tribe’s position during Child and Family Team meetings and case conferences.
• Monitor ICWA compliance, active efforts, and placement preferences.
• Provide case consultation and guidance to ICSS Case Managers.
• Develop and support culturally responsive safety plans and prevention strategies.
