Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP is seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to join our litigation team in West Los Angeles. You will support attorneys from intake through trial, handling deadlines, document management, and client communications in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years at a trial law firm, deep knowledge of CCP/FRCP, and excellent written and organizational skills. Remote work is not mentioned; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant at a trial law firm.
• Experience handling cases from intake through filing of the Complaint to trial.
• Strong knowledge of CCP, FRCP, and Evidence Code/Rules.
• Excellent organizational and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong client rapport and communication skills.
• Plaintiff’s litigation experience in California required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Calendaring all case deadlines and events.
• Formatting, proofreading, finalizing, serving, and filing legal documents (Summons & Complaints, Motions, Briefs, Notices, Subpoenas).
• Interacting with clients to obtain information.
• Preparing retainers, record authorizations, and record requests.
• Providing high level secretarial and administrative support.
• Drafting correspondence.
• Managing all case-related documents.
• Updating case data in Case Management program.
• Coordinating travel arrangements and scheduling meetings.
