Responsibilities

• Represent insured individuals and the Company in defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.

• Monitor new laws, regulations and case law; provide proactive counsel to business units.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff under Lead Counsel guidance.
• Travel throughout California for trials and court appearances as needed.

As a Senior Trial Attorney, you'll handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with mediations, arbitrations, and occasional trials. Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams. Stay ahead of the game by monitoring new laws and regulations, ensuring our strategies remain sharp. This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

Represents insured individuals and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases.

4+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills, such as case strategy development, legal research, and advocacy, with the ability to manage complex disputes and work effectively under pressure.

• Offers counsel to business clients on day-to-day legal matters.
• Manages projects efficiently, fostering coordination and collaboration among legal teams.
• Keeps abreast of and evaluates new laws, regulations, and case law; collaborates with other areas of the Law and Regulation (L&R) department; provides proactive advice and counsel to business units on the impact of new laws; monitors legal representation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and internet research.
• Strong teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants under the guidance of Lead Counsel.
• Comfortable working in a remote environment and willing to travel throughout California for trials & court appearances on an as needed basis.

Key areas of focus: Arbitration, Caseload Management, Depositions, Evidence Gathering, Insurance Defense, Litigation, Trial Experience Compensation.

Compensation for this role ranges from $130,000 to $153,925 annually, based on experience and qualifications, with an additional annual bonus opportunity.
