Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Summary

Under direction, serves as group leader and participates in the daily operations of the City wastewater treatment

facilities. Coordinates information between lab and maintenance.

Minimum Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure, Other

Associates degree from an accredited educational institution and two years of related experience; or four years

of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in wastewater

treatment. State of Iowa DNR Grade III Wastewater Operator certificate. Forklift certification required within two

years of appointment. Satisfactory driving record. Valid State of Iowa commercial drivers license instruction

permit upon first day in position. Valid State of Iowa Class B commercial drivers license with air brake and tank

endorsements within 6 months of hire. National Incident Management System Training ICS 100, IS 700 within two

years of hire. Meet federal drug testing requirements. Requires a pre-employment drug screen. Must be 18 years

of age. Must pass criminal background check. Must live within 25 miles of the corporate limits of Iowa City, Iowa

within one year of appointment to the position.
