Job description

This is a newly created role — you'll shape it rather than inherit it. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Senior Treasury Analyst becomes the operational lead for the Treasury function: owning daily cash operations across multiple business segments of a publicly traded company, serving as the primary resource for treasury operations, and acting as the go-to liaison with our banking partners.

Real ownership starts on day one, and so does leadership. You'll mentor and develop our Treasury Analyst immediately — no waiting for a management title — and carry a genuine improvement mandate: automation, standardization, and future treasury technology initiatives are part of the job description, not a side project. Your ownership of the day-to-day frees the Treasury Manager to focus on strategic initiatives, with visible sponsorship from both the Treasury Manager and the VP & Treasurer.

This position was created to build succession depth in the function, with a defined career path from Senior Analyst toward Treasury Manager and, longer term, Treasury Director. If you're a treasury professional ready to step into genuine ownership and grow with the function, this role was built for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage daily cash operations — cash positioning, cash reporting, liquidity management, short-term borrowings, and investments — across multiple business segments.
  • Process and oversee treasury transactions, including wire transfers, ACH payments, stop payments, positive pay exceptions, and other banking activities.
  • Administer and monitor bank connectivity and file transmission processes to ensure secure, timely processing of treasury transactions.
  • Manage the Company’s corporate credit card program, including card administration, reporting, and annual PCI compliance activities.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute daily and periodic cash reports to Treasury and Finance leadership.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with banking partners and external vendors to resolve cash management, banking, and payment-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax, and other departments to research and resolve treasury-related inquiries.
  • Maintain and continuously improve treasury policies, procedures, and documentation; ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal control requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and lender compliance activities, including collateral reporting and other financing requirements.
  • Provide daily coaching and technical guidance to the Treasury Analyst, promoting consistency and best practices across treasury operations.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve treasury processes through automation, standardization, and system enhancements, including treasury-related projects and system implementations.
What Success Looks Like in Year One

We’ve defined this role around outcomes, not just activities. By the end of your first year, you will:

  • Independently manage daily treasury operations with minimal oversight, serving as the primary operational resource for the Treasury function.
  • Lead at least one treasury process improvement or automation initiative that delivers measurable efficiency gains.
  • Strengthen treasury documentation, SOX controls, lender reporting, and audit support.
  • Accelerate the Treasury Analyst's development through daily mentorship and technical coaching.
  • Free the Treasury Manager to focus on strategic initiatives — liquidity planning, banking relationships, and treasury technology projects — by owning the day-to-day.

Specific Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in treasury, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • High level of initiative, professionalism, and attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred
  • Corporate treasury or cash management experience, including bank file transmissions and bank connectivity.
  • General accounting knowledge and experience working within a SOX‑controlled, public‑company environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics a plus), treasury management systems, and online banking platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation, or a willingness to pursue certification
