Job summary

Upgrade Resources seeks a Traveling Project Manager / Sr. PM - Mechanical to lead mechanical construction projects in Texas. Travel during the week with weekends at home and a relocation option. Projects valued up to $10M with per diem in addition to base salary.

Requires 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or construction science and 5+ years PM experience; OSHA-30 or ability to obtain; PMP preferred; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• 4-year mechanical engineering or construction science degree or commensurate levels of technical training and related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical construction project management experience across commercial/industrial sectors.
• Willingness to travel to project sites during the week, with weekends at home, or relocate for the duration of an assignment.
• OSHA-30 certification or ability to obtain within six months from date of hire.
• Proven ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety on projects up to $10 million.
• Experience with mechanical, HVAC, and piping systems, construction methods, procurement practices, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management direction on mechanical construction projects up to $10 million at remote project sites.
• Lead projects in partnership with the site superintendent and control project development.
• Staff key project positions through regional leadership and superintendents.
• Serve as primary client/contractor/architect contact and attend progress meetings.
• Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts and manage subcontractor performance.
• Maintain master project schedule and variance reports to control schedule and budget.
• Manage all contract financials including costs, billings, and change orders; pursue additional work.
• Ensure safety program compliance and equitable closeout of projects.
• Supervise and mentor project managers, APMs, and engineers.
