Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural Engineer in Minneapolis to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems for bridges and transportation structures, contributing to plans and designs and preparing proposals and cost estimates. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred), 5+ years of experience, and professional licensure (PE and Minnesota Structural Engineer preferred).

Proficiency in Microstation and FEA, strong client communication, and project leadership are

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• Licenses: PE and Minnesota Structural Engineer licensure preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in structural engineering required.
• Proficient in design software and MS Office; strong communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex engineering design tasks on assigned projects.
• Review and seal of own projects or work of others.
• Manage design and construction of projects and provide structural input.
• Lead and mentor other team members on projects.
• Conduct QA/QC on structural design elements and projects.
• Prepare construction documents, proposals, change orders, plans, and reports.
• Utilize software to prepare exhibits and working drawings.
• Participate in client/contractor/stakeholder meetings to understand goals.
