Job summary

Active Day in Fishers, IN is seeking Drivers – Adult Day Center / Shuttle Driver Special Needs. We offer full-time, part-time and per-diem positions with daily pay available and a welcoming, fun environment.

As a Driver you will operate mobility buses, assist members on and off, and provide safe transport to centers and medical appointments. We train you and support your growth while you make a meaningful difference in seniors' lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and state/vehicle credentials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist members.
• Knowledge of local area preferred.
• CPR/First Aid or PASS certifications may be provided during training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain safety standards.
• Assist members with on- and off-boarding and provide safe transport.
• Escort members door-to-door and accompany field trips.
• Maintain vehicle records including route and mileage.
• Communicate professionally with members, families, and staff.
• Identify opportunities to improve member experience and efficiency.
