Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to join our Haddon Heights, NJ office to lead transportation infrastructure projects from planning through delivery. You will coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders, drive proposals, and guide multidisciplinary teams across design, permitting, and construction support.

Qualifications

• Experience/knowledge of NJDOT and county design criteria
• Experience leading and developing proposals
• Ability to plan, budget, and schedule preparation on all phases of an engineering design project using engineering principles
• Ability to work independently or with teams
• Experience working with clients, and teaming partners
• Knowledge of engineering software, including ORD and 3D modeling software

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, utility companies, and other project stakeholders throughout project development.
• Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for additional services.
• Lead proposal development efforts, including preparation of technical approaches, scope of services, fee estimates, and project schedules.
• Support business development initiatives through networking, industry involvement, client engagement, and participation in professional organizations.
• Mentor, supervise, and develop engineering staff by assigning work, providing technical guidance, and supporting professional growth.
• Manage/ oversee the development of infrastructure projects (scope, schedule, and budget), which include client coordination for local, state and federal agencies.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams in the planning, design, permitting, and construction support phases of transportation projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, and overall project performance to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinating and working with internal staff to perform field work needed, design calculations, plan preparation, specifications, quantity calculations, and submission to various clients.
• Responsible for the overall development projects - supervise and monitor project that could include the development of Transportation geometry design, Highway Occupancy preparation and submissions, traffic design cross section, grading plans, Erosion sediment control, Hydrology and drainage calculations.
• Involvement with developing NJ county infrastructure projects.
• Participate in project interviews, presentations, and marketing efforts to secure new business opportunities.
