Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) seeks a Senior Transportation Project Manager to grow our Des Moines office, lead BD efforts, and deliver roadway, traffic, and planning projects with strong client relationships.

The role requires a PE license in Iowa (or the ability to obtain within 6 months), 10+ years in transportation engineering, and 5+ years with the Iowa DOT. Remote work options may be considered based on position and business needs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• PE license in Iowa or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years in transportation engineering (traffic or roadway design).
• 5+ years of experience working with the Iowa DOT.
• Experience leading teams and managing staff.
• Proven success in business development and winning work.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead business development in the Des Moines region and Iowa, focusing on Iowa DOT and municipal clients.
• Develop and execute regional growth strategy aligned with FHU goals.
• Build and maintain client relationships and position FHU for pursuits.
• Lead or support proposals, interviews, and marketing strategies to secure new work.
• Demonstrate ability to win work and grow backlog.
• Provide day-to-day leadership within the Des Moines office and mentor staff.
• Partner with leadership to set growth direction and staffing.
• Support recruiting for a strong local team aligned with FHU culture.
• Serve as Project Manager on transportation projects and provide QA/QC oversight.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Maintain relationships with Iowa DOT and support coordination efforts.
