Job summary

RTC in Nevada seeks an experienced engineer to plan, direct, and review the work of staff on transportation construction projects, plans and studies. The role may supervise assigned personnel and engage with partner agencies and the public to coordinate efforts.

A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or closely related field), five years of professional engineering experience, and a Nevada PE license are required. A valid Driver’s license is also required; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (or closely related field) and five (5) years of demonstrated professional engineering experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada PE license.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver’s license at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Manages a project and/or team in the accomplishment of engineering initiatives.
• Oversees transportation construction; interfaces with other agencies, interest groups and the public to obtain input, garner support and coordinate efforts.
• Leads and conducts a variety of assigned analysis, models, scenarios and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
