LJA Transportation is seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector to oversee inspection activities on transportation projects, working closely with Project Managers to staff assignments effectively.

The role requires 10+ years of highway inspection experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and GDOT certifications. Travel may be required, and candidate must maintain a clean driving record. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• ACI Grade I or GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification.
• GDOT WECS.
• GSWCC Advance Fundamentals Certification Level IA or IB.

Responsibilities

• Observes construction work performed by others, ensuring accuracy with plans and specifications
• Reviews and interprets plans, specifications, and contracts for roadway, drainage, and/or structural highway construction
• Communicates through verbal and written means as needed for job performance
• Participates in project-level meetings as required
• Meets with client as needed
• Documents work activities
• Provides status reports to PM(s) on routine basis
• Reviews and mentors work of other inspectors
• Storm water Inspections

Education
