Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Transportation Insights Manager to drive analytics-based transportation strategy for a leader in Retail & Consumer Goods. This remote role partners with regional distribution leadership and cross-functional operations to optimize final-mile performance and long-range equipment planning.

You will lead a team of Transportation Solutions Managers, convert complex data into clear recommendations, and deliver cost savings while improving execution across the network.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree with 5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience in the field.
• Prior management experience or experience in a route optimization or transportation insights leadership role
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights
• Experience developing teams across multiple business areas
• Business acumen with the ability to present financial data clearly
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Project management capabilities with strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of transportation operations, network planning, and capacity analysis

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to regional distribution leadership and cross-functional teams, aligning transportation strategy with enterprise goals
• Support continuous improvement in final-mile delivery through solution design and route optimization
• Lead and develop a team of Transportation Solutions Managers, strengthening technical and analytical capabilities
• Collaborate with Operations Managers to translate analytics into actionable improvements
• Guide team members on transportation analysis, network design, and capacity tradeoffs
• Establish and enforce transportation strategic plans and performance expectations
• Analyze fleet data to provide actionable insights for operations and leadership
• Identify and validate cost savings opportunities across fleet and carrier spend
• Act as a subject-matter expert for transportation platforms, partnering on enhancements
• Execute network optimization initiatives with engineering partners
• Inform long-range equipment strategy using analytical modeling

This role will partner closely with regional distribution leadership and cross-functional operations teams to shape transportation strategy and improve final-mile delivery performance. The position blends analytical insight, team leadership, and network optimization to support smarter decisions across fleet, carrier spend, and long-range equipment planning. The ideal candidate will turn complex transportation data into clear recommendations that drive cost savings, stronger execution, and continuous improvement.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
