Job summary

The Virginia Office of the Attorney General seeks an Assistant Attorney General for the Construction, Infrastructure & Transportation Section in Richmond. Qualifications

• Familiarity with state or federal procurement law, including contract drafting and grants.
• Experience in general litigation and regulatory appeals.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal services to transportation agencies, including Port of Virginia, Department of Rail and Public Transportation, and VDOT.
• Advise on Virginia Public Procurement Act, contracts, grants, and procurement processes.
• Represent agencies in litigation and coordinate with outside counsel.
• Review transportation-related legislation and draft opinions for the Attorney General.
• Work located in Richmond, reporting to the Chief of the Construction, Infrastructure & Transportation Section.
