Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; substitution possible with relevant accounting/budget experience per policy.
• Minimum four years of accounting/bookkeeping/budget or business experience.
• Travel may be required; valid driver’s license required.
• Promotional only: two years of full-time experience as Transportation Financial Specialist 2.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage agency budgets in collaboration with the Comptroller.
• Review and approve vital financial transactions in the wvOASIS system.
• Oversee a team of three to five accounting professionals with guidance across functional areas.
• Contribute to internal and external financial auditing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
