Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Senior Engineer for its Traffic/Technology Team in Texas. The role focuses on leading traffic planning, studies, design and operations tasks to improve urban transportation systems, with opportunities to work across Plano, Fort Worth, or remotely for select Texas-based candidates.

Our Traffic/Technology Team is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions for traffic management, signal systems, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure. Your passion for collaborative work and commitment to positively affecting communities will drive you to lead traffic planning, studies, design, and operations tasks and projects. This position is available in-office at our Plano or Fort Worth, Texas locations, or remotely for candidates based in San Antonio, Austin, or Houston, Texas.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

• 10+ years of experience in traffic engineering, traffic operations, or ITS projects.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license in Texas.

• Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.

• Working knowledge of software including Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM or other similar software.

• Experience with traffic studies and design projects, preferred.

• Local industry knowledge and experience, preferred.
