Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Transportation Engineer (5–10 years) to design roadway projects and manage programs from concept through completion in Athens, GA.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure compliant, high-quality infrastructure solutions and strong client relations. Applicants should be proficient with MicroStation, InRoads, ORD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, hold a Civil Engineering degree, and preferably a PE license or the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within six months.
• 5–10 years of roadway engineering experience with transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Design roadways and layouts using InRoads, ORD, MicroStation, and AutoCAD Civil 3D according to guidelines.
• Lead roadway projects from concept to completion, managing schedules and budgets.
• Prepare construction plans, specs, and cost estimates for roadway projects.
• Coordinate with traffic, structural, and drainage teams for integrated delivery.
• Maintain strong client relationships and responsive communication.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/state/local regulations (GDOT preferred).
• Conduct design reviews for accuracy and consistency of deliverables.
• Assist with permitting and regulatory approvals submission.
• Prepare technical reports and memos as required.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians to develop skills.
