Job summary

Ardurra Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) to join our Transportation team in Everett, WA.

This role supports planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure for public sector clients, including state DOTs and municipalities, with a focus on roadway design and corridor projects. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of transportation engineering experience, a Washington PE license, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Active PE license in Washington state is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of transportation engineering experience.
  • Experience with roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects for DOT, municipal, and public agencies.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with roadway design including plan and profiles, cross sections, corridor modeling, and grading.
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO, MUTCD, and state DOT standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support roadway and transportation design projects including highways, arterials, collectors, intersections, and local roadways.
  • Prepare and review PS&E documents.
  • Develop roadway geometry including alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading plans, and corridor models.
  • Coordinate roadway drainage integration and utility considerations.
  • Develop construction documents and 3D roadway models using transportation design software.
  • Coordinate with traffic, drainage, utility, geotechnical, environmental, and structural teams.
  • Ensure compliance with AASHTO, MUTCD, and applicable state DOT standards.
  • May perform QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, and technical deliverables.
  • May support project delivery, scheduling efforts, and client coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Support construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination.

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) to join our growing Transportation team in Everett, WA.

This position will support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects for public sector clients including State DOTs, counties, municipalities, and local agencies. The ideal candidate will have strong roadway design experience and a proven background delivering highway and /or local roadway projects from planning through construction. This role focuses on transportation design, roadway improvements, corridor projects, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support roadway and transportation design projects including highways, arterials, collectors, intersections, and local roadways
  • Prepare and review Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E)
  • Develop roadway geometry including alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading plans, and corridor models
  • Coordinate roadway drainage integration and utility considerations
  • Develop construction documents and 3D roadway models using transportation design software
  • Coordinate with traffic, drainage, utility, geotechnical, environmental, and structural teams

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with roadway design including plan and profiles, cross sections, corridor modeling, and grading
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO, MUTCD, and applicable state DOT standards
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading transportation design efforts and federally funded projects
  • Familiarity with MicroStation, Bluebeam, Synchro, , and Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
  • Experience with roadway drainage, utility coordination, and right of way considerations
  • Design experience for WSDOT facilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of ADA compliance and PROWAG requirements
