Job summary

Toole Design is seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join our Raleigh team, leading impactful transportation projects that reflect our mission to create safer, connected communities.

You'll mentor junior staff, guide multidisciplinary design efforts from concept through construction, and collaborate with clients while expanding our North Carolina project portfolio. This role offers a hybrid office schedule and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• NC PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
• 10+ years of complex transportation project management experience.
• Proven leadership of multi-discipline infrastructure design and construction teams.
• Strong NC transportation market networks, including DOT and municipalities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of highly visible transportation projects.
• Guide civil design teams on safety improvements and multimodal capacity expansions.
• Mentor junior staff and lead client meetings.
• Support business development across North Carolina.
