Description

Location: Manassas, VA

Company Overview: Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) offers excellent advancement opportunities for mid to senior-level civil engineering professionals. This position provides leadership in highway design, intersection and interchange improvements, pedestrian facilities, and the development of technical reports, project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates. Projects range from large design/build transportation projects to traditional projects for local, state, and private sectors.

Manassas, Fredericksburg, and Waynesboro

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and oversee highway design development.
• Lead project meetings and present highway design aspects.
• Support multiple projects and lead smaller projects.
• Ensure high standards of work quality and peer review.
• Interact with clients, agencies, and contractors.
• Assist with schedule and budget management.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.
• Virginia P.E. registration preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in highway engineering design.
• Knowledge of VDOT and local policies is a plus.
• Strong highway design technical skills, familiar with VDOT, AASHTO, FHWA, MUTCD standards.
• Teamwork, communication skills (written and oral).
• Experience with CADD/Design Software (MicroStation, InRoads, Geopak, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil3D) preferred.
