Job summary

Eagle Mountain City in Utah is seeking a qualified civil engineer to plan, design, and deliver transportation infrastructure and capital improvement projects. The role oversees project staff, coordinates with contractors and consultants, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

You will manage budgets and schedules, prepare plans and bid documents, review development applications, and provide technical guidance to City leadership and boards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Eight (8) or more years of technical engineering work experience.
• Valid Utah Driver's License and PE license.
• Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, direct, and review the work of project staff and consultants; set design criteria and prepare estimates.
• Coordinate development plan reviews, bid phases, and construction administration.
• Ensure regulatory compliance at local, state, and federal levels.
• Act as project engineer; develop construction plans, specifications, and permits.
• Manage capital improvement projects and supervise inspectors and contractors.
• Assist with development review and provide technical support to City leadership.
