Under the general direction of the Chief, Office of Project Support, a Supervising Transportation Engineer, the incumbent is responsible for providing project support to assist in the delivery of Middle Mile and joint build broadband projects by district staff and external partners. The incumbent also provides training to districts on encroachment and utility accommodation policies for broadband and telecommunications companies.

The position is located at 1120 N Street, Sacramento, CA. It is a Limited Term position, possibly extendable to 24 months or permanent. The incumbent will work in a climate-controlled office, with travel required for district visits and project site reviews. Telework may be available depending on department policy, but in-person attendance could be required.
Possession of a valid civil engineer registration issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be submitted, explaining your relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. The SOQ should be a maximum of two pages, single-spaced, in 12-point Arial font.
