IMEG is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead design efforts for moderate to complex transportation projects. The role spans highways, bridges, transit, and multimodal networks across multiple Illinois offices, with a focus on client advisement and project direction.
You will work within budgets, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet goals and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. State salary range is provided; travel up to 25% is expected.
IMEG is hiring a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead design efforts for moderate to complex transportation projects with limited support required from senior staff. This position is available in our Bettendorf, IA; Chicago, IL; Naperville, IL; or Rockford, IL office.
In this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and client advice that improve complex transportation systems, enhance traffic safety, and optimize infrastructure for public and private sectors. You will also work within project budgets, lead training and mentoring efforts, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

State of Illinois salary range: $98,000 – $141,000.
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
