California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring a Senior Transportation Electrification Specialist in the Energy Systems & Transportation Branch (ESTB) of the Energy Research & Development Division (ERDD).
The Senior Transportation Electrification Specialist will provide technical leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) research, development, demonstration, and deployment (RDD&D) and other activities related to transportation electrification, vehicle-grid integration, and zero-emission vehicles and infrastructure. This opportunity is an Electric Generation System Program Specialist II (EGSPS II) state classification.
ESTB supports the development of emerging technologies to enable a clean, reliable, and affordable energy system. The Transportation Unit within ESTB is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of RDD&D efforts focused on innovations that support transportation electrification, vehicle-grid integration, and the adoption of zero-emission vehicles.
Energy Research & Development Division (ERDD) deploys over $200 million annually to advance technology innovation and research supporting the state’s clean energy and climate goals, including in the areas of renewable energy supply, building and industrial decarbonization, sustainable transportation, energy storage, energy distribution, resilience and reliability, and carbon management.
