Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation in Mentor, OH is seeking a Senior Transportation Cost Analyst to lead transportation cost controls, process automation, and strategic freight savings. Hybrid work model: 3 days in office, 2 days remote; you will manage carrier and vendor partnerships and ensure contract compliance.

You will develop weekly freight forecasts, create KPI dashboards, and apply contract expertise to identify invoice discrepancies and prevent spend leakage using Excel, Oracle OTM/JDA, and BI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in transportation operations, logistics financial analysis, or freight contract administration.
• Advanced understanding of transportation contracts, freight tariffs, rate structures, and carrier negotiation frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Sheets, TMS platforms, and BI reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational relationship between the FAP vendor and carrier base.
• Develop and track KPIs to drive clean aging and automate FAP workflows.
• Identify discrepancies between invoices and contracts and enforce terms to prevent spend leakage.
• Develop weekly freight financial forecasts and project spend metrics.
• Establish site-level cost targets and weekly financial reporting for leadership.
• Investigate variances and implement permanent corrective measures.
