Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Senior Commercial presence to support issue resolution, risk management, contract administration and compliance on a multi‑billion dollar transportation mega project. You will mentor staff, oversee subcontracting and claims, and provide strategic commercial guidance as part of an owner’s representative team.

The role requires a JD or related advanced degree and a strong background in contract drafting, negotiation and project leadership, with visa sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Legal Studies or related field.
• 10 years of project management, contract drafting & negotiation, construction claims resolution or related experience.
• Juris Doctor or related advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides commercial support on resolving project issues, including application of contract provisions and recommendations for resolution strategies.
• Reviews correspondence with project team and owner to develop responses and draft replies.
• Oversees review of technical and administrative submittal responses and coordinates project communications.
• Assists in resolution of potential change orders, disputes, claims support, and litigation support.
• Performs administrative audits to identify noncompliance and opportunities for improvement and corrective actions.
• Reviews and audits of subcontracts, insurance and bonding provisions and subcontracting procedures.
• Mentors and trains the project team on contract interpretation, policies, risk and liability management.
