Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Donor Allocation Transplant Coordinator II to support transplant programs. The role oversees donor offers, organ recovery coordination with surgeons and donation teams, and 24/7 coverage on a rotating schedule. Home-based with periodic on-campus trainings and meetings.

The position requires RN licensure in California, a BSN or ASN with BSN within two years, and transplant coordination experience. Strong communication and CMS/UNOS knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Associate's degree in Nursing with BSN to be conferred within 2 years of hire.
• 5 years documented clinical experience as a transplant coordinator.
• Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, speak).
• Knowledge of medical procedures including whole blood collection and apheresis.

Responsibilities

• Take deceased donor organ offers for transplant candidates.
• Facilitate acceptance/refusal of donor organs and coordinate organ recovery.
• Execute complex logistical support for organ recovery and placement.
• Maintain professional communication with surgeons, recipients, donation staff, and hospital staff.
• Triaga patient calls after hours and escalate to on-call physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of UNOS policy and CMS regulatory requirements.
• Participate in UNOS responsibilities and waiting list management.
• Operate Cerner and UNOS databases for recipient/donor data.
• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotating schedule.
