Job summary

Val Ward Cadillac is seeking a qualified Transmission Technician to join our family‑owned dealership in Fort Myers. You will diagnose and repair transmissions across diverse vehicle makes and models, while performing routine maintenance and leveraging diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues efficiently.

We value teamwork and meticulous workmanship; a valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. GM experience and ASE certification are a plus, and compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Transmission Technician or similar role.
• GM experience is a plus.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of transmission systems and automotive repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair transmission systems on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on transmissions.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and safety procedures.
• Document repair procedures and communicate findings to service advisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
