Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Transmission Siting and Permitting Project Manager to support our power business across the United States. This hybrid role combines in-office and remote work with 10–15% travel.

You will lead project teams, coordinate multidisciplinary contributors, and provide high-quality routing, siting, permitting, and public involvement deliverables to clients. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change while growing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Natural Sciences, Ecology, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience managing environmental permitting and planning projects for energy-related developments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, work independently, maintain QA/QC standards, and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent technical writing and strategic problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with company leadership, project teams, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple transmission, substation, and renewable energy projects across varying stages and locations.
• Lead project teams, coordinate multidisciplinary contributors, and deliver routing, siting, permitting, and public involvement outputs.
• Develop and implement public involvement strategies including open houses, meetings, and hearings.
• Serve as the client point of contact and oversee technical and financial performance: scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and change.
• Support growth of client relationships with business development and account teams.
