Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Denver seeks a Transmission Delivery Lead to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of electric transmission projects. You will guide cross‑functional teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure delivery meets safety, regulatory, and client requirements.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in utility or energy infrastructure, strong leadership, and experience with MS Project or Primavera P6. PE license and PMP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing utility, transmission, energy infrastructure, or large‑scale capital projects.
• Proven experience leading complex, multi‑disciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of transmission systems, utility operations, and project delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of transmission projects, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and close‑out activities.
• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, permitting, construction, and operations teams to ensure project success.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, leadership teams, customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues that may impact project objectives.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular status updates, forecasts, and executive‑level reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Manage contractor and vendor performance to ensure quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in project delivery.
• Support strategic planning efforts and contribute to the development of transmission infrastructure programs.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
