The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking talented and motivated Senior Engineer candidates to join our Transmission Line team. This role involves designing High Voltage (69kV-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD software. The position is open to any location or remote work.

What You'll Do

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, utilizing advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices to complete complex projects. Responsibilities include collaborating across disciplines, acting as a client contact to define project scope, and developing construction documents such as design criteria, drawings, and specifications. The engineer will coordinate design aspects, estimate costs, and specify materials.

What We Expect from You

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
• Minimum 10 years' engineering experience, with at least 8 years in Transmission Line Engineering
• PE license required
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE preferred
• Experience with utilities is highly preferred
• Strong client relationship skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Experience in training and mentoring team members
• Ability to review project drawings, calculations, and specifications
• Creative and autonomous problem solver
• Team collaboration skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; MFAD/LPILE preferred
