A leading engineering firm in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced engineer specializing in transmission line design. This role includes designing high voltage transmission lines, conducting cost analyses, and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• 7 or more years of experience in transmission line design and project management.
• Knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI 318.
• Experience in writing and providing support documentation for engineering calculations.

Responsabilités

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range.
• Conduct cost analyses and develop design criteria for transmission lines.
• Mentor less experienced staff and direct a small project team.

Connaissances

Proficiency with PLS-CADD software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail

Formation

Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
