This role includes designing high voltage transmission lines, conducting cost analyses, and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• 7 or more years of experience in transmission line design and project management.
• Knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI 318.
• Experience in writing and providing support documentation for engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range.
• Conduct cost analyses and develop design criteria for transmission lines.
• Mentor less experienced staff and direct a small project team.

Skills

Proficiency with PLS-CADD software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail

Education

Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
