We are seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to serve as an engineer on electric transmission line design projects for high‑voltage (HV) and extra‑high‑voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country. Responsibilities include applying NESC, ASCE, ACI and other applicable standards in the engineering and design of electrical overhead and underground systems, voltage conversion projects, new capacity projects, and infrastructure replacement projects; performing engineering analyses; preparing bidding documents; drafting plans and specifications; preparing material procurement and construction documents; and working with a multi‑person Leidos team while interfacing with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.
Work Location: Ideally, the candidate will reside in the Greater Chicagoland area to work a hybrid schedule, or in the Greater Indianapolis or Columbus areas to work fully remote.
