Job summary

K&A Power Group is seeking a Consultant Project Manager to oversee transmission land and site acquisitions from Charlotte, NC, to Greensboro, NC, and Greenville, SC. You will coordinate diverse teams across Real Estate, Engineering, and Legal, shaping schedules, budgets, and risk plans for complex utility projects.

The role requires 7+ years in electric transmission or related fields, strong communication, and a PMP or equivalent credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 7+ years of project management experience in electric transmission, utility infrastructure, land acquisition, or capital project execution.
• Experience supporting transmission line and substation development projects.
• Strong understanding of land acquisition, easements, ROW, title review, and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple transmission land acquisition and site acquisition projects concurrently.
• Coordinate between Real Estate, Survey, Engineering, Environmental Services, Permitting, Legal, Public Engagement, Finance, Project Controls, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, forecasts, risk registers, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate fee simple acquisitions, easement acquisitions, and ROW acquisitions.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, issues, and schedule impacts, and mitigate them.
• Lead project meetings, status reviews, and progress reporting to leadership.
• Support governance, forecasting, funding requests, change management, and budget tracking.
• Coordinate due diligence including title work, surveys, permitting activities, and property rights documentation.
