Stone Peak Recruiting is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer for our San Diego, CA office. The role focuses on comprehensive transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions, with emphasis on delivering robust engineering solutions and client-ready documentation.

The candidate should hold a BSCE or BSEE with a power option, possess PLS-CADD skills, and communicate clearly in English. Experience with MS Office is required for analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• BSCE or BSEE degree from an accredited university with a power option.
• Experience in design of overhead HV and EHV transmission lines including routing, line/structure spotting, design and bid packages.
• PLS-CADD proficiency.
• Strong command of English with good written and oral communication to internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office suite.

Senior Transmission Line Engineer

Department: Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line

Location: San Diego, CA

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic addition

Required Education/Experience

• Civil (BSCE) or Electrical (BSEE) degree,from an accredited university preferably with a power option
• Experience in the design of overhead High Voltage and Extra High Voltage transmission lines including route selection, line and structure spotting, structure design and analysis, and development of construction bid packages
• PLS-CADD proficiency
• The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite

Desired Education/Experience

• Ten (10) or more years experience in transmission line design as outlined above
• Professional Engineering license (PE) strongly preferred
• Managerial and leadership skills
